A not too early rise on Sunday saw Duncan and myself heading up towards the CIC hut on a damp and miserable morning. However, we more or less walked out of the mist into decent weather, much to our surprise. We headed for Glovers Chimney which was quite straightforward apart from the chimney section below Tower Gap, which saw a lot of back and footing up the walls, resulting in the loss of yet another bite valve from my playtpus tube. Considering Duncans hardest route to date was Ledge Route, this was a bit of an eye-opener, and he did really well.
After the late start and being held up a bit, time was getting on but we managed a superb bumslide down to the lochan from the bottom of number 4 gully, and only had to put the torches on below the CIC hut.
