|The forecast for Saturday was significantly better than the miserable forecast for Sunday, so it was with some difficulty that I forced myself out of bed the night after the work Christmas do to go for a walk. It was worth it though, as it was a cold and crisp day with excellent views of the snowy Cairngorms. We headed for the relatively low hills on the North East side of Glen Callater which I hadn't been up before. Starting up Creag an Leachda (deep heather bashing is always good for a hangover!), we continued over Creag na Dearcaige to Meall an t-Slugain and Creag an Loch before the long trudge out along Glen Callater.
