|Having moved house for the last time this summer, it's been a while since we've been able to get to the hills. However, we afforded ourselves a break from DIY to head up Lochnagar with Pete and Nick in a bitterly cold wind. Even though we have all climbed the route more than once, it is a good choice for a short day, so were more than happy to do it again. It wasn't soloing conditions for Helen or myself so we used our short rope for the tricky sections, and thankfully it had warmed up a bit on the climb itself. A couple of parties were on Eagle Ridge, and a couple were also having a go at Parallel Buttress, which must be rarely climbed in summer. Pete had a bit of a sneezing problem today that was resulting in superb echoes around the corrie. Occasionally, a faint "bless you" could be heard, presumably from one of the other climbing parties!
