After what we'd seen on Sunday, Dave and I were keen to do the gully line of Beag For Mercy on Aonach Beag. Only the gondola was running on Aonach Mor, but with the possibility of having 2 cars, a traverse was planned to prevent the end of day slog back for a lift down. The skin up Aonach Mor wasn't too bad, and we located the top of "Rush". It was a slightly crunchy descent, but an entertaining one. On arrival back at the top, we were met by Jamie and set off for Aonach Beag. The top of Beag for Mercy had a few rocks showing through, but there was plenty of space to get through. It is a superb line, with wide and narrow sections, maintaining interest all the way down. A short carry diagonally up to the top of the exit gully provided another amusing descent. The walk out into Glen Nevis provided a fine end to the day - thoroughly recommended as an alternative to the gondola dash.
